This is followed by dyeing and staining the outside, and papering the inside of your gourd. While the bowl gourd is drying, learn basic techniques for creating a birdhouse gourd. Take a lunch break, and finish up with final decorations on your bowl. Students may work in whatever decorative media they like: dyes, paints, paper. Gourds may be purchased at the start of class, or students may bring their own. Class starts at 8:30am and goes until 3:30pm. Contact Loan Tree Gallery for class fees. |
